Twitter Management Team: March 7, 2019. Michelle Locke Deciphering Analytics, Setting Goals and Designing Content.
Thursday in class we had a guest speaker, the wonderful Michelle Locke. Michelle talked about how analytics are everything for social media. Through her fake dried mango company, she described what her strategy for promoting pineapple was.
Step 1: Continue mango and apple focused content
Step 2: Increase pineapple focused content
Step 3: Track the engagement rates of the posts with the clickthrough rate on built in analytics then conversion rate on Google analytics
Step 4: After week four reasesses to see if the strategy is working
Some clients are apprehensive about waiting four weeks to see if the strategy is working.
Michelle had great insights on creating original content. Many accounts believe they need to reuse memes and popular posts to stay relevant in popular culture. However, “reusing” content is actually stealing and not creative in any way. It can be difficult to create good original content but you need to give yourself time and find what times you are most creative.
Through this class we gained several different tips and tricks how to better our feeds and content, while learning the fine line of original and non-original content. Our feeds can all probably utilize this information and create more engaging and exciting content to make our friends feeds more entertaining, one tweet at a time.
This is a great summary of important points that Michelle touched on in class! This advice is super useful to give to clients or anyone else trying to increase their reach or following. Nice touch including the live tweets!
